What to Order

Bún bò Huế, the spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup, is a favorite, and portions are generous for the price. Children get a small, non-spicy bowl of it free.

The rice cakes are the other draw. Bánh ít ram sets a chewy rice dumpling filled with shrimp and pork on a crisp fried rice base, with fish sauce for dipping; it is made to order, so call about 15 minutes ahead. Bánh bèo, small steamed rice cakes topped with shrimp and crisp pork skin, come thicker here than at most places, and there is also bánh bột lọc and mì Quảng with fatty pork.
